Vision
Connecting the tangible and intangible assets associated with the Tokugawa family to the future and the world.
Declaration of Action
We honor successive heads of the Tokugawa main family and cherish their ideals.
We contribute to the preservation, investigation, and research of historically significant tangible assets, such as collections preserved nationwide, and intangible assets including the culture, customs, arts, and manners nurtured during the Edo period, which are inherited across Japan.
During the Edo period, the Tokugawa era established an unprecedented era of peace lasting over 260 years in human history, marked by repeated conflicts. We contribute to research and investigative efforts of this period, actively disseminating its findings both domestically and internationally.
The Tokugawa main family values its bonds with temples and shrines across the nation, contributing to regional revitalization efforts.
We aim for the enduring prosperity of the Tokugawa and Matsudaira clans, preserving these values for future generations.
